Key Responsibilities Reviews work queue assignments and prioritizes coding tasks to meet revenue cycle goals Assigns and sequences diagnosis and procedure codes according to official coding guidelines Initiates physician queries and collaborates with revenue cycle to resolve billing issues Required Qualifications Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or equivalent certification High School Diploma or GED, with advanced coder competency exam passed with a minimum score of 95% Five (5) years of hospital-based coding experience, including complex CPT surgical coding Proficiency in electronic health records (EPIC) and encoder systems (3M) Ability to work independently as a remote employee while supporting the coding team
