Community Forestry Expert

A company is looking for Community-based Forestry and Small-scale Forest Production Experts. Key Responsibilities Assess the effectiveness of community-based forestry regimes for improving forest conditions and livelihoods Conduct research on enabling factors and barriers affecting community-based and small-scale forestry Draft technical reports and provide support for field projects related to community-based forestry and small-scale forest production Required Qualifications Advanced university degree in forestry, natural resources management, social sciences, or a related field At least five years of relevant experience in sustainable forestry or natural resources production at the local/community level Proficiency in one of the official FAO languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish) Experience with locally led climate action and biodiversity conservation initiatives Familiarity with local governance approaches to sustainable forest management
