A company is looking for a Nuclear Design and Shielding Engineer. Key Responsibilities: Develop and analyze shielding models for nuclear systems Calculate dose rates, energy deposition, and gas production rates Provide guidance on shielding strategies for novel nuclear applications Required Qualifications: B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering or equivalent experience with 5+ years in the nuclear industry Expertise in radiation shielding design for experimental reactors or fuel cycle facilities Proficiency in Attila, MCNP, SCALE, ORIGEN, and CAD tools (SolidWorks, SpaceClaim/ANSYS) Experience with NQA-1 quality programs preferred Fast reactor experience and software development skills for nuclear applications are a plus
