A company is looking for an Orthopedic Surgeon for Utilization Review - Remote (1099 Independent Contractor). Key Responsibilities Review prior authorizations for treatment by applying nationally accepted medical and healthcare plan guidelines Provide expert, unbiased assessments while ensuring compliance with ERISA/DOL and state regulations Work flexibly, completing most cases in 30-60 minutes, with a commitment of 1-2 hours per week Required Qualifications Must be an MD or DO Must be Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship training in Spine, Shoulder & Elbow, and/or Hip & Knee is required Must have 5 years of patient care experience in Orthopedic Surgery Must have an unrestricted New Mexico or Minnesota state medical license
