Key Responsibilities
Respond to participant inquiries and conduct follow-ups for additional support
Verify insurance coverage, obtain prior authorizations, and communicate details to patients and staff
Support medical billing processes and ensure compliance with regulations and documentation
Qualifications
Education: College education (BA, BS) preferred or equivalent experience in Behavioral Health/Healthcare customer service
Experience: 2-3 years in a medical office or healthcare setting focusing on insurance and billing
Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR)
Strong knowledge of insurance verification and payer guidelines
Empathetic and professional patient interaction
