Senior Counsel

A company is looking for a Senior Counsel to provide legal expertise and advice on complex legal matters related to retirement plan recordkeeping and consumer directed health plans. Key Responsibilities Advise on recordkeeping, trust/custody, and compliance issues related to defined contribution plans Support plan administration issues and operational error corrections under IRS and DOL programs Collaborate with business groups to address legal issues and negotiate contractual arrangements with plan sponsors Required Qualifications 5-7+ years of relevant legal experience Law Degree from an accredited university and a current license to practice law Expertise in qualified defined contribution plan types, including 401(a), 401(k), 403(b), and 457(b) In-house experience in financial services related to retirement plan operations is preferred Experience with consumer directed health plans is a plus
