Texas Licensed Power System Engineer
A company is looking for a Power System Engineer to work in Dallas, Texas.
Key Responsibilities
Perform steady state, dynamic, short-circuit, and PSCAD model development for renewable and conventional generation resources
Conduct system-wide power flow analysis and due diligence for M&A projects, including interconnection applications
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for grid reliability and energy markets while contributing to research and innovation activities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with three years of relevant experience
Alternatively, a Master's degree in the stated fields with one year of relevant experience
Hands-on experience with power-system tools such as PSS/E, Power-world, PSLF, and PSCAD
Direct work experience in transmission or distribution planning and resource interconnection analyses
Knowledge of North American RTO/ISO markets and electric power systems fundamentals
