Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Specialist - Remote. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive secondary clinical chart reviews to identify documentation clarification opportunities Perform daily concurrent reviews of inpatient records to ensure accurate physician documentation at discharge Initiate compliant physician queries for ambiguous or missing documentation and follow up for responses Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience At least one of the following: RN, MD, or MD Equivalent (MBBS) 2-4 years of acute care inpatient hospital coding or CDI experience Familiarity with encoder and DRG assignment Current knowledge of official coding guidelines and coding clinics
