Clinical Documentation Specialist - Georgia
A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist - Obstetrics, Newborn & Pediatrics.
Key Responsibilities
Review and improve clinical documentation during patient admissions and follow up to ensure accuracy
Facilitate modifications to documentation through collaboration with healthcare professionals and coding staff
Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations while maintaining metrics and participating in departmental meetings
Required Qualifications
Associates Nursing, Bachelors Health Science, Bachelors Nursing, or Doctorate Medicine
Licensure and certification required upon hire for clinical backgrounds; coding certifications for non-clinical backgrounds
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Clinical Documentation Specialist in an acute care setting
Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience; experience with Epic and Solventum/3M 360 Encompass preferred
Strong understanding of clinical documentation integrity and coding guidelines
