Connecticut Licensed Teacher of the Visually Impaired
A company is looking for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI).
Key Responsibilities
Conduct assessments to determine students' educational needs and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the unique needs of students with visual impairments, including braille instruction and assistive technology
Provide virtual instruction and support through both synchronous and asynchronous learning platforms
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Special Education
Active Connecticut certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired required
Experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired, including proficiency in braille instruction
Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation for students with visual impairments
Comfortable using technology for instruction and communication (Google Workspace, Zoom, etc.)
