Defense Contracting Manager

A company is looking for a Manager, Defense Contracting. Key Responsibilities Lead all DoD contracting activities, including proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract compliance Collaborate with general managers to develop pricing and delivery schedules aligned with program requirements Manage the lifecycle of all DoD contracts and task orders from RFP analysis through proposal submission and execution Required Qualifications Former warranted contracting officer within the U.S. Department of Defense or equivalent acquisition authority 8+ years of experience in federal acquisition with a deep understanding of FAR, DFARS, and DoD procurement processes Proven ability to prepare, negotiate, and manage DoD contracts end-to-end Demonstrated experience coordinating with technical teams to align contract deliverables with operational realities Ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-moving startup environment while maintaining compliance and professionalism
