Florida Licensed Inpatient Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Medical Coder. Key Responsibilities Perform medical coding and auditing for various medical, surgical, and ancillary specialties Utilize advanced coding knowledge of ICD-CM, PCS, HCPCS, and CPT in institutional and professional services Ensure compliance with reimbursement systems including PPS, DRGs, APCs, and RBRVS Required Qualifications Minimum of four (4) years of medical coding and/or auditing experience in two or more specialties, or two (2) years in a Military Treatment Facility (MTF) At least one (1) year of documented performance in the specialty is required Advanced knowledge of coding systems and reimbursement methodologies Medical coding certifications such as RHIT or RHIA may fulfill certification requirements Must achieve a minimum 80% passing score on a Medical Billing test
