A company is looking for a Forensic Underwriter to perform in-depth reviews of closed mortgage loans for compliance and fraud detection. Key Responsibilities Re-underwrite closed loan files to ensure compliance with agency or lender guidelines Review compliance documentation for adherence to federal and state laws Prepare formal written responses to agencies/investors regarding audit findings and deficiencies Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years' underwriting experience in both manual and automated environments Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines Understanding of transaction components that may indicate potential fraud Experience with Ellie Mae Encompass is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
