A company is looking for a Government Affairs Lead to drive state and local policy engagement efforts related to school safety. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the government affairs strategy across key states Build and manage relationships with state lawmakers, education departments, and local school officials Monitor and track legislation and funding sources related to school safety initiatives Required Qualifications At least 8 years in government relations, public affairs, or a related field Strong network of state-level contacts in education and public safety policy Demonstrated success in advocating at the state government level Experience managing consultants at the state level Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment
