A company is looking for an Inpatient Medical Coder (Medical Coder III). Key Responsibilities Assign diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient services, ensuring adherence to accuracy and timeliness standards Ensure correct assignment of DRGs and code inpatient discharge records with optimal DRG assignment Perform tasks within military coding systems and assist with ambulatory and outpatient coding as needed Required Qualifications, Training, and Education RHIT or RHIA certification required, or 5 years of experience with AHIMA or AAPC certification 5+ years of medical coding/auditing experience in 2+ specialties, or 3+ years in a Military Treatment Facility At least 1 year of inpatient coding experience required Expertise in ICD-CM, PCS, HCPCS, and CPT coding 80% minimum score on coding assessment
