IT Security Analyst I

A company is looking for an IT Security Analyst I to monitor and analyze security systems for unauthorized activity. Key Responsibilities Investigate and document daily events and alerts for unauthorized activity, following incident response procedures Provide daily reporting on alerts and incidents, and support event investigations in coordination with the Incident Response Team Review vulnerabilities and conduct proactive threat research to improve incident response processes Required Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in information security or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience 2 years of information security experience, including 1 year with SIEM, IPS/IDS, log management, and vulnerability scanning technologies Preferred certifications include CISSP, Security +, GCIH, or other security-focused certifications Experience in Security Operations Center environments Pre-employment screening includes a criminal background check
