A company is looking for a Lead Coding Specialist responsible for ensuring coding accuracy and compliance in medical records. Key Responsibilities Review inpatient and outpatient medical records for coding accuracy and compliance with guidelines Mentor and train coding staff while maintaining expert knowledge of coding guidelines Identify and address documentation issues, including physician queries and missing data Required Qualifications, Training, and Education 3-5 years of acute hospital-based coding experience or equivalent education and experience Relevant certifications (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or COC) required upon hire Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field preferred Experience in a remote work environment preferred
