A company is looking for an Underwriter - Commercial. Key Responsibilities Reviews and analyzes renewal and new business submissions to develop profitable binding terms Negotiates placement terms while adhering to binding authorities and underwriting targets Builds relationships with brokers and agents to enhance a profitable book of business Required Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Binding Authority and Insurance Underwriting, or 3 years with a Master's degree Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Business Administration or Risk Management State P&C and/or surplus line licenses required within a designated time period if not currently licensed Preferred certifications: Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
