Key Responsibilities
Explains procedures to patients and families to ensure cooperation and ease anxiety
Assists the physician with examinations, utilizing standard protocols and techniques for radiopharmaceutical injections
Recognizes clinical problems during exams and takes appropriate actions to resolve them
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Full-time Day Shift: 8 hours a day, with call rotation
Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine from an accredited program
Registered State Inspector - Virginia within 3 months of employment
Certification as CNMT or ARRT-N within one year of hire; Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Student
