Billing Follow Up Representative

A company is looking for a Billing Follow Up Rep I - Medicare Advantage. Key Responsibilities Review accounts and apply billing follow-up knowledge to ensure proper reimbursement from insurance payors Conduct prebilling/billing and follow-up activities on open insurance claims, obtaining necessary documentation Communicate with internal teams and external customers to validate and correct information related to claims Required Qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required Typically requires 1 year of related experience in a medical/billing reimbursement environment Basic knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) preferred but not required Ability to operate computer and software systems used in billing processes Must perform within departmental guidelines for productivity and quality standards
