Key Responsibilities Code patient care reports and manage EMS balances in the billing system Resolve financial transactions to ensure timely collection of payments and follow up on patient requests Educate patients on their liabilities and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations Required Qualifications 2 years of experience in a medical billing office or relevant field Certified Ambulance Coder (CAC) certification required within 9 months of hire Experience with ambulance billing, verification, or coding preferred Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems (CPT-4 and ICD-10) Knowledge of billing software such as Image Trend Billing Bridge is preferred
