Certified ED Medical Coder

A company is looking for an Emergency Department (ED) Medical Coder for a national remote position. Key Responsibilities Assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 Codes for outpatient Emergency Department services following coding guidelines Analyze and correct CCI Edits and Medical Necessity Edits while maintaining coding quality and productivity Provide documentation feedback to providers and maintain up-to-date coding knowledge through ongoing education Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or higher Professional coder certification from AHIMA and/or AAPC 2+ years of Outpatient Facility coding experience 2+ years of ICD-10 experience 2+ years of experience with PCs in a Windows environment, including MS Excel and EMR systems
