Employee Benefits Staff Accountant

A company is looking for a Staff Accountant - Employee Benefits (Remote). Key Responsibilities Manage and reconcile direct bill commissions from insurance companies and perform daily bookkeeping tasks Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with the month-end close of local agency general ledger systems Coordinate the payment of operating expenses and assist with budget preparation as needed Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field 2+ years of relevant accounting experience in the insurance brokerage industry is desired Working knowledge of various insurance agency management systems is preferred Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
