A company is looking for a Staff Writer, Newsletters Contractor (Energy). Key Responsibilities Report on energy and environmental policy, including committee work and legislative procedures Co-write a daily newsletter and develop a network of sources within Congress and related sectors Produce a mix of spot news and enterprise content for multiple platforms while pitching unique story ideas Required Qualifications At least 2 years of daily journalism experience, preferably covering Congress or the federal government Experience writing about energy and environmental policy Familiarity with congressional procedures and terminology Ability to write quickly and accurately, mastering AP and CQ Roll Call style Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems
