Key Responsibilities Code and abstract clinical and demographic data for inpatient admissions using standardized guidelines Identify and resolve discrepancies in clinical documentation and charge capture data Collaborate with providers and the Clinical Documentation Integrity team for additional documentation and education Required Qualifications Certificate program in coding or associate degree in Health Information Management (HIM) 3+ years of coding experience One of the following certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CIC Basic knowledge of Windows-based computer software One of the required credentials must be obtained within 1 year
