Remote Hospital Charge Specialist

A company is looking for a Hospital Charge Specialist-Remote. Key Responsibilities Ensure complete, compliant, and timely daily charge capture for assigned departmental services Query and submit requests to physicians for additional information or clarification of procedures Maintain compliance with established charging practices and perform related duties as requested by management Required Qualifications, Training, and Education Associates degree preferred One or more years of experience in Charge Description Master, Hospital Billing, Charge Capture, or Outpatient Coding preferred CPC/COC/CCA/CCS certification required within 1 year of hire Ability to work a remote schedule with rotating weekends or a dedicated Saturday schedule Understanding of medical terminology, CPT/HCPCS guidelines, and Medicare regulatory guidelines
