A company is looking for a Senior Patient Financial Navigator.
Key Responsibilities
Explain insurance coverage, treatment costs, and financial assistance opportunities to patients and their representatives
Provide expertise in Medicaid eligibility and available government programs
Assist self-pay patients in resolving accounts and recommend charity write-off services
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Associate's degree in business, public health administration, or a related field preferred
One year of business or college coursework required
Completion of a medical terminology course or proficiency required
Minimum five years of experience in healthcare collection, financial counseling, or related fields required
Certification as an Application Counselor (CAC) within 90 days of employment preferred
