A company is looking for a Medical Records Analyst. Key Responsibilities Analyze protected health information according to project-specific rules Participate in the intake process of records and assign ICD-9/10-CM codes Maintain coding credentials and discuss project-related discrepancies with Team Lead(s) Required Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year of experience in abstracting and ICD-9/ICD-10 coding Knowledge in anatomy and physiology, pathology of disease, and medical terminology Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Must possess relevant coding credentials (RHIA, RHIT, or CCS) Passing score on a coding assessment is required for further consideration
