Director of Operational Risk Oversight

A company is looking for a Director of Business Unit Oversight (Operational Risk) for its Commercial Bank. Key Responsibilities Lead operational risk oversight and governance processes, ensuring effective challenge of business unit risk exposures Develop relationships with business unit leaders to provide risk advisory and conduct targeted risk evaluations Create analyses and reports for operational risk identification, assessment, and monitoring across business units Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Enterprise Risk or Operational Risk, including leadership experience, or High School Diploma/GED with 14 years of relevant experience Related certification in audit or risk management (e.g., CIA, CISA, CRISC, CRMP) preferred Understanding of the three lines of defense model and effective challenge in the second line Knowledge of regulatory guidance and risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, BCBS, NIST, ISO) Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
