A company is looking for an Inpatient Complex Coder for a part-time remote position. Key Responsibilities Review, analyze, and code diagnostic and procedural information from patient medical records for billing purposes Abstract information from medical records to support patient databases for research and administrative decision-making Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, reimbursement policies, and accreditation standards Required Qualifications Degree in Medical Record Sciences or completion of a certification program with RHIT, RHIA, or CCS certification eligibility Certification must be obtained within one year of employment if eligible for RHIT, RHIA, or CCS Thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding systems Minimum of two years of inpatient coding experience or equivalent is required Additional coding experience is preferred
