California Licensed Data Privacy Director

A company is looking for a Senior Director, Data & Privacy Legal. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with business leadership and teams to implement data regulations for the Americas and EMEA Develop and execute a comprehensive compliance program for applicable data rules Provide privacy counseling to product teams and support privacy by design initiatives Required Qualifications: J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and active membership in at least one US state bar 15 years of experience in an in-house legal department with a focus on data and privacy issues Extensive knowledge of US/EU data laws, including PIPL and Cyber Security Law Experience managing and growing a team of lawyers Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences
