Key Responsibilities Review, analyze, and validate diagnostic and procedural codes for reimbursement and billing Abstract information from electronic health records to support patient database compilation Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, reimbursement policies, and accreditation regulations Required Qualifications, Training, and Education High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required Billing or coding experience preferred Some college coursework in Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, or Medical Record Sciences preferred Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or equivalent required Proficient in ICD-10 CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
