PFS Insurance Specialist

A company is looking for a PFS Insurance Specialist II to assist the collections team in improving cash collections and reimbursement rates. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the collections team to meet productivity and quality standards, providing training and coaching as needed Document actions taken on patient accounts for auditing purposes according to Standard Operating Procedures Manage outstanding accounts receivable, including credits and denials, to reduce aging buckets in line with departmental goals Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory, preferably in genetic billing 3+ years of experience handling denials and appeals with extensive payer knowledge High school diploma with some college education preferred Knowledge of CPT codes, medical terminology, insurance plans, and ICD 10 codes Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and excellent computer skills
