A company is looking for a Government Affairs Specialist to execute state-level lobbying and advocacy efforts related to biomarker testing. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute state-specific advocacy strategies to influence policy decisions on biomarker testing reimbursement Establish and maintain relationships with state legislators, regulators, and stakeholders for favorable policy changes Organize grassroots advocacy efforts and engage in legislative monitoring to track relevant bills and policies Qualifications & Experience 3-5 years of experience in government affairs, healthcare policy, or advocacy (statehouse experience preferred) Background in legislative affairs, lobbying, grassroots mobilization, or patient advocacy Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience building relationships with state legislators and healthcare influencers Understanding of insurance, reimbursement policies, and Medicaid/Medicare processes is a plus Ability to write clear and persuasive policy communications, including legislative letters and advocacy documents
